On August 26, the Voice of the Youth project met Eric Swalwell, the U.S. Representative for California’s 14th congressional district that covers Alameda County and part of central Contra Costa County. Swalwell was a former alumni of Dublin High School.

The meeting was primarily set up by Tim Sbranti, the former mayor of Dublin. Sbranti had previously worked with Amari Jones, and he highly approved of the Voice of the Youth project. Sbranti introduced the Voice of the Youth to Congressman Swalwell. Voice of the Youth and Swalwell arranged a meeting to discuss the organization’s goals for uplifting student voices.
